| Play Description January 7, 2001
Fear gripped the markets on Friday due to earnings warnings and concerns about the economic consequences of the growing California utility crisis. Traders used these events to justify selling shares across the board, severely damaging the historic rally we saw on Wednesday. Retailers were unable to maintain their momentum, thus we were stopped out of our Timberland play. The stock did find some good support just above $65.00 and may enter a period of consolidation that could enable it to stage another rally.
