Another Powerful Trading Tool at Splittrader.com

You won't soon be 'bored' of this one. Major price moves of individual stocks often occur as the result of one of three events: an Earnings report, a Shareholder's meeting, or a Board of Directors meeting. Schedules for the first two are widely available, but try to find a schedule for Board of Directors meeting - that's a more difficult matter.

SplitTrader has gone a long way toward resolving that problem - with our new Board of Directors Calendar. You can find the calendar on the index (located on the left side of the SplitTrader start page) under "Calendars", then click on the BOD Meetings icon.

Now, we aren't going to claim that we have the only Board of Directors calendar, but SplitTrader may have the most extensive calendar available. We currently survey the S&P 500 list and we are working on a build-out to eventually cover the entire Russell 2000 list of companies.

There is a limitation to such an undertaking, as companies are not required to disclose the date of a BOD meeting. As such, many simply refuse to report their next meeting. But some do offer that information - and that's information that we as traders can use as one more piece of the investment puzzle.
