| CERS - Cerus Corporation $60.75 (-14.50) |
On Friday, Cerus Corporation plummeted along with the broad markets and triggered our stop at $68.00. Unfortunately this was a very brief play for us that never had a chance to take form. We will take our loss and walk away while keeping an eye on CERS for better trading opportunities in the future.
| TBL - The Timberland Company $70.50 (+3.63) |
Fear gripped the markets on Friday due to earnings warnings and concerns about the economic consequences of the growing California utility crisis. Traders used these events to justify selling shares across the board, severely damaging the historic rally we saw on Wednesday. Retailers were unable to maintain their momentum, thus we were stopped out of our Timberland play. The stock did find some good support just above $65.00 and may enter a period of consolidation that could enable it to stage another rally.
